Acquired Information and Scope of Use

The Company’s primary goal in collecting and using Information is to provide the best service possible and to administer your use of the Service. The Company shall use and acquire user information in the following ways:

Personal Information

When creating a new account, we collect information that may include information that can be used to identify you, including your name, email address and phone number (“Personally Identifiable Information” or “PII”). We also need to collect certain information that is not PII, for example your gender, age, date of birth and postal address. Third party services may also collect certain information from you in connection with your use of the Service, including payment information.

Other information

We collect certain information through the use of what is known as ‘cookies”, these are small text files that are saved by your browser when you access our Service. We may use both session cookies and persistent cookies to identify that you’ve logged onto the Service and to let us know how and when you interact with the Service.

We may also use cookies to monitor aggregate usage and web traffic onto our service and to customise and improve our Service. Unlike persistent cookies, session cookies are deleted when you log off from the Service and close your browser. Information Related to Use of the Service

Our servers automatically record certain information about how a person uses our Services (we refer to this information as “Log Data”), including both Account and Professional Account holders and non-account holders (“Users”). Log Data may include information such as a User’s Internet Protocol (IP) address, device ID, browser type, operating system, the web page that a User was visiting before accessing our Services, the pages or features of our Services to which a User browsed and the time spent on those pages or features, search terms, the links on our Services that a User clicked on.

In order to ensure the best possible service and for regulatory compliance purposes our servers also automatically record interactions between the User and their matched Professional. We utilise this information to administer the Service and to ensure the highest quality of service. With the assistance of third party specialist companies we also analyse the information to improve the Services and to develop new features and functionality that support our User’s needs and preferences.

In certain cases we collect and store information related to your location via your IP address or mobile GPS data for approximate geolocation. We can use this location information to improve our Service to you. The users’ device information (OS type, serial number etc.) may be acquired at times. This information shall be used for the provision of a better Service, as well as for identification purposes and prevention of any unauthorised/fraudulent practices which interfere with normal Service operations.

Provision of Information

The Company will never provide user information to any third parties except as described below unless the Company is obliged to do so under applicable laws.

Shared Use of Information with Service providers

The Company may share the user’s personal information with a business partner, when a business partner’s cooperation is needed in order to keep providing the Service to the user.
This includes third party payment processors, to work with us to administer and provide the Service. These third-party services have access to your PII solely for the purpose of performing services on your behalf.

We do not store credit card details nor do we share financial details with any 3rd parties

Shared use of information with other third parties

We may share aggregated information and non-identifying information with third parties for industry analysis, demographic profiling and other similar purposes.

Information that we collect from our users, including PII, is considered to be a business asset. As a result, if we go out of business or enter bankruptcy or if we are acquired as a result of a transaction such as a merger, acquisition or asset sale, your PII may be disclosed or transferred to the third-party acquirer in connection with the transaction.

Information disclosure

It is Company policy to protect our Users from privacy violation through the abuse of legal systems and to contest claims that we believe to be invalid under applicable law. However, it is also Company policy to cooperate with government and law enforcement officials and private parties. Accordingly, we reserve the right to disclose any information about our Users to government or law enforcement officials or private parties as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary: (i) to satisfy or comply with any applicable law, regulation or legal process or to respond to lawful requests, including subpoenas, warrants or court orders; (ii) to protect our property, rights and safety and the rights, property and safety of third parties or the public in general; and (iv) to prevent or stop activity we consider to be illegal or unethical.

The Security of User Information

We take appropriate measures to protect the information that we collect from or about our Users (including your PII) from unauthorised access, use or disclosure.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the Internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

Our Policy Toward Children

Our Service is not directed to children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect PII from children under 18. If we learn that we have collected PII of a child under 18 we will take steps to delete such information from our files as soon as possible.

Access to information

The Data Protection Act 1998 gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with it. Any access request may be subject to a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.

Modifications to this Privacy Policy

The Privacy Policy may be revised periodically. Users will be notified of important changes in a recognisable manner by posting them on the Service.
